We have been planning for the trip to KK (Kota Kinabalu) since last February. Cher had dreams of going to KK, Sabah since he was
young. He told me he came to know about Sabah in his first geography class. He always say Sabah in the map looks like the head of
a dog. But I would rather say it looks like the head of wolf. When his teacher said that the highest moutain in the South East Asia is in
Sabah. It arouses his tremendous interest to go there.

As a saying goes, you won't become a real man till you've been to the Great Wall. It is same for a malaysian like Cher. For him, it is
not the Great Wall but Mt. Kinabalu instead.

When Air Asia offered free airticket to KK at its anniversary in early Feburary, Cher immediately booked the August Tickets with no
hesitation, it was 6 months in advance though!!!

Since then, Sabah...KK...Mt. Kinabalu....I always heard of them at home....but it has never been my priority place to go....I have been to
Great Wall. I have also been to the Mt. TaiShan which is much higher than Mt. Kinabalu....for me, KK is just a city of Malaysia like
others...It would never be after I came back from my 7D6N KK adventure...
Kota Kinabalu ("fort of Kinabalu") is a city on the northwest
coast of Borneo Island.

The city takes its name from the nearby Mount Kinabalu, at
4,101 meters the highest peak in the Malay Archipelago;
Kinabalu means "
Sacred Place of The Dead," and the
inhabitants of the region regard the heavily forested
mountain as a holy site.
This Website is dedicated to People we met during our KK adventures who contributed to and improved our trip: Shirley, Jenny, Ms. Tan, Ah Ping, Tah
Shyan, Pei Wan, Arkin (Rafting Guard), Fabianus Willy (trekking Guard), Bobby, a group of friends from Penang and from Kuala Lumpur..
